Yes. Thousands of maggots in our garbage cans on the ship and they got all over the deck. Those little things are quick, I’d be herding them into a pile to throw overboard and they’d be galloping away as fast as they could wiggle.
Thanks to everyone’s efforts we scrubbed and sprayed and picked them off the ship and none made it inside!

It’s probably because of your childhood experience of finding maggots in your dresser drawer in your chestnut collection that you were able to deal with this issue so thoroughly.
