We were docked in Valencia across from the fancy America’s Cup building.

Port program here took us to the science centre and aquarium. I was still feeling horrible from the cold so I sniffled my way through the exhibits. The aquarium was neat on one hand, seeing the colourful tropical fish but also sad seeing walruses and sea lions do laps in their small pools. It raised some good discussions amongst students and staff.

The whole crazy lot of them outside the science museum.

In Valencia I also saw the Holy Grail! Yes they have it in the cathedral and you can just look in and see it. No need for Indiana Jones to search for it!
There was a baptism going on while I was touring that section of the cathedral so the mass was happening in Spanish and then all us tourists were poking our heads in to look at the Holy Grail as they still kept the chapel open. It was kinda funny.

Good coffee. I visited a market with an excellent coffee stall. After suffering through terrible boat coffee and almost resorting to switching to tea 😵 I was able to get some really delicious coffee!

Toe woes. So far on this trip the students have been really good at injuring their toes. And in Valencia I unfortunately joined the injured toe club. Seems that my winter ski boot toe injury caught up to me and my toe got infected from my wonky nail. So I had to take myself to the hospital and get treated.
I’ll spare you a toe picture.
To finish this post here is a shot of us leaving the Mediterranean as we sail through the Strait of Gibraltar.
And the double rainbow

Loving your adventure. Take care of that toe!

That cathedral is really impressive. And it will be nice to have good coffee for the rest of your trip when you get your coffee maker 👍🏻.
